Welcome to hoston.ch! This guide walks you through the most important steps to get your website and e-mail addresses online quickly.
1. Check your welcome e-mail
Once your service is activated, you receive a welcome e-mail with your cPanel login details, the nameservers and other technical information. Keep this e-mail in a safe place.
2. Log in to the Client Area
At https://my.hoston.ch you manage your services, invoices, domains and support tickets.
3. Log in to cPanel
Log in at https://cpanel.hoston.ch, or open Services in the Client Area, select the product and click Login to cPanel.
4. Set the nameservers
If your domain is registered with another provider, change its nameservers there to ns1.hoston.ch and ns2.hoston.ch. The change can take a few hours to take effect.
5. Create a mailbox
In cPanel, open Email Accounts, click Create and choose the address and password. You can read your mail at https://webmail.hoston.ch.
6. Upload your website
Upload your files to the public_html folder with the File Manager, or use an FTP client (FTPS, host ftp.yourdomain.ch, port 21). WordPress can be installed easily with Softaculous.
