Once connected, FileZilla shows the files on your computer on the left (Local site) and the files on the server on the right (Remote site). Your main domain's website is in the public_html folder.
Upload files
- Connect as described in the article "Connect with FileZilla".
- On the right, double-click the
public_htmlfolder (or your addon domain's folder). - On the left, go to the folder on your computer that contains the website files.
- Select the files and folders on the left (several with Ctrl or Cmd), right-click and choose Upload. Alternatively, drag them to the right.
- Progress is shown in the queue at the bottom. For existing files, FileZilla asks whether to overwrite them.
The home page must be called index.html or index.php and be located directly in public_html.
Download files
- Select the files or folders on the right.
- Right-click and choose Download. The files are saved in the folder opened on the left.

- Rename: right-click the file or folder > Rename.
