The theme defines the look of your WordPress site. You manage themes in the dashboard under Appearance > Themes.

Install a theme from the directory

Open Appearance > Themes and click Add New Theme.
Search for a theme or browse Popular and Latest.
Hover over the theme, click Install and then Activate.

Upload a theme as a ZIP file

Under Appearance > Themes, click Add New Theme and then Upload Theme.
Choose the theme ZIP file (e.g. a purchased premium theme) and click Install Now.
After installation, click Activate.

Switch theme

Under Appearance > Themes, hover over an installed theme and click Live Preview to test it or Activate.

Delete a theme

Click an inactive theme to open Theme Details.
Click Delete in the bottom right corner and confirm with OK.

Tip: Delete unused themes, but keep one up-to-date default theme as a fallback. Only download themes from trusted sources.
