Our hosting servers use the LiteSpeed web server. The free LiteSpeed Cache plugin uses the server-side cache directly and makes your WordPress site noticeably faster.
Install and activate the plugin
- Log in to the WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin and search for "LiteSpeed Cache".
- Click Install Now and then Activate.
Basic settings
- Open LiteSpeed Cache > Cache in the menu and check that Enable Cache is set to ON.
- Under LiteSpeed Cache > Presets you can apply a preset such as Essentials or Basic – a good, safe start.
- Enable CSS/JavaScript optimisations (Page Optimization) step by step and check your site after every change.
Purge the cache
After design changes, click the LiteSpeed icon in the top admin bar and then Purge All.
Note: Do not use another cache plugin at the same time (e.g. W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache). Some extras such as image optimisation run via the external QUIC.cloud service and are optional.
