This article lists all the details you need to set up an e-mail program or smartphone. hoston.ch offers two types of mailboxes: mailboxes inside a web hosting plan (cPanel) and the separate e-mail packages E-Mail Postfach and E-Mail Business.
Web hosting mailbox (cPanel)
- Incoming (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.ch, port 993, SSL/TLS
- Alternatively POP3: mail.yourdomain.ch, port 995, SSL/TLS
- Outgoing (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.ch, port 465 SSL/TLS or 587 STARTTLS
- Username: full e-mail address; enable SMTP authentication (same credentials)
E-mail package (E-Mail Postfach / E-Mail Business)
- Incoming (IMAP): mail.hoston.ch, port 993, SSL/TLS
- Outgoing (SMTP): mail.hoston.ch, port 465 SSL/TLS or 587 STARTTLS
- Username: full e-mail address; enable SMTP authentication
Webmail
- Web hosting mailbox: https://webmail.hoston.ch
- E-mail package: https://mail.hoston.ch/webmail
