You can transfer your existing domain to hoston.ch. Transferring .ch and .li domains is free of charge.
Preparation
- .ch / .li: request the Auth-Code (transfer code) from your current provider.
- Other extensions (e.g. .com, .net, .de): unlock the domain at your current registrar (remove the transfer lock) and request the auth code. The transfer usually includes a one-year renewal.
- Make sure the registrant e-mail address is up to date, as confirmation messages may be sent there.
Order the transfer
- Log in to the Client Area at https://my.hoston.ch.
- Go to Domains > Transfer Domains.
- Enter the domain name and the auth code and add the domain to the cart.
- Complete the order and pay the invoice if a fee applies.
Tip: Do not change the nameservers during the transfer. This keeps your website and e-mail available without interruption. If you also want to move your website, use our free migration service.
