An addon domain lets you run another, independent website in the same cPanel account. The number of domains allowed depends on your hosting plan.

Requirement: the domain must use the nameservers ns1.hoston.ch and ns2.hoston.ch (or point to your hosting via an A record).

Add an addon domain

  1. Log in to cPanel at https://cpanel.hoston.ch.
  2. In the Domains section, click Domains.
  3. Click Create A New Domain.
  4. In the Domain field, enter the new domain, e.g. yourdomain.ch.
  5. Uncheck Share document root. cPanel suggests a separate directory (e.g. /yourdomain.ch), which you can keep or change.
  6. Click Submit.

Then upload the website files to that directory. An SSL certificate is issued automatically by AutoSSL.

Remove an addon domain

  1. In cPanel, open Domains > Domains.
  2. Click Manage next to the domain.
  3. Click Remove Domain and confirm.

Note: removing the domain does not delete its files. Delete them manually in the File Manager if needed.
