Change your cPanel password Print

You can change the password of your cPanel account at any time, either in the Client Area or directly in cPanel. The cPanel password also applies to the main FTP account.

Option 1: Via the Client Area

1. Log in at https://my.hoston.ch.
2. Open Services and select your hosting package.
3. Click Change Password.
4. Enter the new password twice and save.

This option also works if you have forgotten your current cPanel password.

Option 2: Directly in cPanel

1. Log in at https://cpanel.hoston.ch.
2. In the Preferences section, click Password & Security.
3. Enter your current password.
4. Enter the new password twice or use the Password Generator.
5. Click Change your password now!.

Tip: Use a long, unique password and keep it in a password manager. Afterwards, update any saved credentials, for example in your FTP client.
