  • Imunify360, Malware, cPanel
  • 0

All hosting accounts at hoston.ch are protected by Imunify360. The malware scanner checks your files automatically. You can also start a scan yourself at any time, for example if your website suddenly redirects to other sites or shows strange content.

Start a scan

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. In the Security section, click Imunify360.
  3. Open the Malware Scanner tab and click Start scanning.
  4. Wait until the scan is complete. Depending on the number of files, this may take a few minutes.

Review the results

  • Detected files are listed with their path and the type of threat.
  • Where available, clean the files with Cleanup. Imunify360 removes the malicious code and keeps a backup copy.
  • After cleaning, check that your website works correctly again.

After an infection

  1. Update your CMS, themes and plugins to the latest version and remove unused extensions.
  2. Change all passwords (cPanel, FTP, database, CMS administrators).
  3. In case of major damage, restore a clean version from the daily backup using JetBackup.

Note: If a file cannot be cleaned or the infection returns, open a support ticket. We will help you analyse the problem.
