Enable PHP extensions Print

  • PHP, Erweiterungen, ionCube
  • 0

Many applications need additional PHP extensions, such as ionCube Loader for encoded software, GD or imagick for image processing, or mailparse for e-mail processing. You can enable them yourself in cPanel.

  1. Log in at https://cpanel.hoston.ch.
  2. In the Software section, click Select PHP Version.
  3. Make sure a specific PHP version is selected (not native).
  4. Switch to the Extensions tab.
  5. Tick the extension you need, e.g. ioncube_loader, gd or mailparse. The change is saved immediately.
  6. To disable an extension, untick it.

Tip: Reset to default restores the default selection. Note that extensions are selected per PHP version: if you change the version later, check the extensions again. If you need an extension that is not listed, open a ticket in the Client Area.
