With two-factor authentication (2FA), you need a one-time code from an app in addition to your password when logging in. Your customer account stays protected even if your password is compromised.
Requirement
A smartphone with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or any other TOTP app.
Enable 2FA
- Log in at https://my.hoston.ch.
- Click your name in the top right corner and choose Security Settings.
- Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Enable.
- Scan the QR code shown with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and confirm.
- Write down the backup code shown and keep it in a safe place.
Note: The backup code lets you log in if you lose your smartphone. Without it, contact support@hoston.ch; we will verify your identity before resetting 2FA.
