Reset your WordPress password Print

Depending on whether you can still access the dashboard, there are three ways to change your WordPress password.

1. Lost password (login page)

1. Open https://yourdomain.ch/wp-login.php and click Lost your password?
2. Enter your username or e-mail address and confirm.
3. Follow the link in the e-mail and set a new password.

2. In the dashboard (logged in)

1. Go to Users > Profile.
2. Under Account Management, click Set New Password.
3. Save with Update Profile.

On the same page you can use Nickname and Display name publicly as to change the name shown on your posts.

3. Via Softaculous / WordPress Manager

1. In cPanel, open WordPress Manager or Softaculous Apps Installer > All Installations.
2. Select the installation and open its edit or details view.
3. Select the admin user, enter a new password and save.

Tip: If the e-mail does not arrive, check your spam folder or use method 3.
